Support emails will still be monitored but autoresponses will not be sent and replies for non urgent issues may be delayed whilst the wortk is carried out.
Affecting Other - DC1 - Reynolds house
Following on from the service interruption this morning work has been progressing by our upstream providers to determine the root cause and to complete repairs on the device that caused the outage. Currently PDU1 in Reynolds house is in forced by-pass, this means that the load is currently not protected and the supply is Raw Mains only and should be considered at HIGH RISK until further notice.
Our suppliers are continuing to work with thier specialist partners to ensure that they can return redundancy to the PDU as soon as possible. There will be a number of switching exercises throughout the night during which the risk to the load is elevated.
Engineers are working closely with the specialists to ensure that any risk to the load is minimised and carefully controlled.
Additional engineers available to ensure that they are able to deal with any issues that may arise tonight promptly.
Please expect further updates as they are communicated to us.
---- Update 8:20am 28/9/16 ----
Our suppliers have been working through today to restore PDU1 to normal operation. Unfortunately all attempts to bring back UPS autonomy have been unsuccessful.
Load is currently in Forced Bypass and is on RAW MAINS and should be considered at HIGH RISK until further notice. In simple terms what this means is that if there is a grid level power outage or a significant voltage change on the incoming supply then the load would not be powered and there would be an interruption to connected services.
In discussion with thier specialist partners and senior management the decision has been made to decommission the currently failed device and replace it. They are doing this in order to regain confidence in the UPS during future switching procedures. All parties agree that if they where able to complete a repair on the current device, due to the way in which it has failed and the diagnostics they have been able to take, that they would not have confidence that the fault would not re-occur in future.
Further information and timescales for the replacement will be provided as soon as possible .

See below for full details and also refer to the emails we have sent you in the last 24 hours. Further updates will appear here.
========================================
Dear customers,
In order to ensure we always provide you with the best possible hosting service, we from time to time have to carry out upgrades to software and hardware of our web hosting platform.
We are currently readying the deployment of new servers for cPanel hosting. As a result of this, we will be carefully migrating websites from server to server over the coming couple of weeks.
What is changing?
The server hardware is being replaced and all sites are being migrated to new, higher capacity, faster servers. In addition, core server operating system is being updated from Cloudlinux 5 to 6.
In addition, we will be bringing PHP 5.3 & 5.4 to all our cPanel servers. We are aware that there are some incompatibilities between the older PHP 5.2 and 5.3, so to mitigate issues, we will also be installing PHP 5.2 to allow backwards compatibility. Once your site has been migrated, you can change the PHP version at any time via your cPanel control panel.
We are also updating our DNS cluster.
To make using DNS easier on our cPanel platform, we are renaming our DNS servers to make them easier to remember and updating our DNS cluster servers.
Regardless of which cPanel server you are located on, the new nameserver names/IP addresses are:
ns1.posilan.com - 46.20.227.195
ns2.posilan.com - 37.128.190.54
ns3.posilan.com - 88.98.49.5
The new servers are up and running now, If you don't have your domain names hosted with us, we recommend you update your name servers as soon as you can in preparation. If we already look after your domain names, you can sit back and relax - we will make all the changes for you.
What do you need to do?
If you currently point your domain name to our DNS servers, then we will automatically update your site's DNS record to the new server's IP address.
If you are currently using the server name instead of your own domain name in your ftp settings or email settings, you need to update these to use your own domain name so you don't have any disruption post migration.
If you manage your own DNS on a server elsewhere, you will need to update the "A" record for your domain name. You will receive the information of your new IP address by email before your site is migrated to give you time to make the changes. If you do have external DNS, we recommend you change the TTL of your domain name to less than an hour (60 seconds is good if your DNS host allows it).
We will do everything we can to ensure the move is smooth and painless for customers, but if you have any concerns about the migrations, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone, email or live chat and we will be happy to help.
