If you bought a router from us, it arrives already set up for your connection, with a printed quick setup guide in the box.
- Wait until we tell you your line is live before swapping routers.
- Full fibre: connect the network cable from the fibre box (LAN 1 or GE1) to the router’s WAN or Internet port.
- Fibre broadband: connect the phone-socket cable from the main socket to the router’s DSL port. If the line still has a landline on it, use the socket’s broadband port or a filter.
- Switch on and allow 5 to 10 minutes. You’re online when the internet light stays on.
- Please don’t press the reset button: it removes the settings we put in for you. Call us instead and we can usually fix things remotely.
Keeping your own router? When you switch to us we use a smart switch, so your existing router shouldn’t need reconfiguring.
