Connectivity FAQs
What’s the difference between broadband and a leased line?
Broadband is shared with other users and usually has slower upload speeds. A leased line is a dedicated connection just for your business, with the same speed in both directions and faster guaranteed fix times if something goes wrong.
How long does a leased line take to install?
It depends on whether new fibre needs to be laid to your building. Some installs take a few weeks, others a few months. We give you a realistic date up front and can arrange temporary broadband in the meantime.
Can you take over our existing connection?
Usually, yes. We’ll check your current contract end date so you don’t pay twice, and plan the switch to avoid downtime.
What is colocation?
Colocation means housing your own servers in a professional data centre rather than a cupboard in your office. You get resilient power, cooling, security and connectivity, and we can manage the servers for you.
Do you cover our area?
We supply connectivity across the North West. Availability depends on your exact address, so send us your postcode and we’ll check.
