NETWORK TOOLS
Open port checker
Check whether a port is open on the internet connection you’re using right now, such as 3389 for Remote Desktop or 443 for a web server.
What it shows
Whether a device on your network accepts connections on a port from the internet: open, closed (refused) or no reply (blocked by a firewall).
Your connection only
For safety, we only ever test the IP address you’re visiting from, so this can’t be used to scan anyone else’s network.
Open when it shouldn’t be?
Ports like 3389 (Remote Desktop) and 445 (file sharing) shouldn’t be open to the internet. They’re a common way in for ransomware. We can lock them down or set up a VPN.
